50 Cent is providing a rare glimpse into his private life as a father.
“[My youngest son Sire] is so sheltered,” 50, exclusively shared with Us Weekly while celebrating his new true-crime series 50 Ways to Catch a Killer on Fox Nation. “He just turned 13, but he’s, like, a really young 13. He doesn’t know his mom dated Puffy. He doesn’t know this stuff. These are things that I kind of look at in the future.”
The rapper (real name Curtis Jackson) and his ex-girlfriend, Daphne Joy Narvaez, welcomed Sire Jackson in September 2012. 50 also shares a 28-year-old son named Marquise Jackson with ex-girlfriend Shaniqua Tompkins.
As his youngest son goes from a kid to a preteen, 50 is aware that Sire will likely experience the highs and lows of having a famous father.
“I’m always conscious because he’s gonna run into it. That information is there,” 50 explained to Us. “There are perks. The luxury of ‘50 Cent is my dad’ is there. And then the things that can be used against you are also there.”

As Sire continues to grow up into a young man, 50 is hoping his son has a few important qualities. No. 1 is having some thick skin to withstand critics or trolls.
“I gotta have his skin be tough enough to withstand the things that will come,” he shared.
This fall, 50 has the opportunity to host Fox Nation’s new six-episode true-crime series titled 50 Ways to Catch a Killer.
The show gives an inside look into gripping murder mysteries and highlights the journeys of law enforcement as they chase breakthroughs that they hope will lead to justice.

While working as both a host and producer of the series, 50 said law enforcement’s “research process” surprised him the most.
“Some is their gut instinct, some of it’s clues or forensics that end up just giving you a direction,” he explained. “Just watching that unfold is what is exciting to me.”
While it’s unclear if Sire will want to pursue a career in Hollywood like his father, 50 explained that discipline and an early focus led to his massive success. He hopes to pass those lessons on to his son in whatever he chooses to focus on down the line.
“A lot of the discipline starts with the things that you get them to do in early stages, like having them choose sports or different things that they actually do, and then having them in a regimen,” he explained. “I think what separates us the most is our passion. Let them choose it.”
50 continued, “There’s a point where I see people that are extremely talented, so they do things easy. It almost feels like it’s a gift from God, like, they can just do it. And then people that really have to work.”
