If Andy Cohen had his way, The Real Housewives of Miami would be hitting our TV screens ASAP.
“I did wanna say Housewives of Miami, there’s so much [news],” Cohen, 57, said on the Monday, March 23, episode of SiriusXM’s Andy Cohen Live. “I get the credit, and I get the blame. And I will say, this was not my decision. And by the way, look, I’m an EP [executive producer] on all these shows. If it was up to me, they would be rolling all the time and on. I mean, better for me.”
When cohost John Hill pointed out that the show is on pause and not cancelled, Cohen agreed.
“Exactly, thank you John,” he replied. “Frankly, I’m happy that people are so passionate about it, and I hope they tell their friends to watch. This is a ratings game after all.”
Earlier this month, a source confirmed to Us Weekly that Bravo is not moving forward with an eighth season of RHOM at this time. The most recent season wrapped up in October 2025 with a shocking three-part reunion.
Since the news broke, many cast members have spoken out about the decision, expressing their hope that filming can one day resume.
“Hearing that the show is currently on pause is disheartening, and it’s hard not to feel the weight of that,” original cast member Alexia Nepola wrote via Instagram on Friday, March 20. “Opportunities like this are rare, and they matter. They open doors, challenge perceptions, and allow our stories—and our culture—to be seen and celebrated on a larger stage. At the same time, I truly believe that a pause can create space for something even greater.”
The Bravo star continued, “I’m staying positive, present, and hopeful for what’s ahead.”
Stephanie Shojaee, who joined the show in season 7, echoed Nepola’s sentiments that a show highlighting Latina voices is invaluable.
“I’m disappointed because strong Latina voices deserve a spotlight that’s still lacking,” she wrote via her Instagram Story. “But Miami always finds its way back. For now, I’ll be keeping up with everyone’s crazy lives. I love the girls, and meeting them will always be the best of RHOM.”
RHOM was first paused after the conclusion of its third season in 2013. Peacock revived the show for season 4 in 2021 before the series moved to Bravo for its two most recent installments.
Fans can catch up on old seasons of RHOM by streaming past episodes on Peacock.
