The fallout from Taylor Frankie Paul’s cancelled Bachelorette season has reportedly not affected her payday.
Taylor, 31, will receive her full salary for the ABC dating series, TMZ reported on Wednesday, March 25, alleging that her take home is in the low-to-mid six figures.
According to the outlet, Taylor’s contract for The Bachelorette was based on “services rendered” and despite the season never airing, it was filmed in its entirety before the drama unfolded off-camera.
Taylor also completed the majority of her promotional tour for season 22 of the show prior to ABC pulling the plug earlier this month.
Us Weekly has reached out to a representative for Taylor and ABC for comment.
After gaining fame for starring on Hulu’s The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives — which premiered in 2024 — Taylor was cast as the Bachelorette in September 2025. (Prior to reality TV, Taylor went viral after she confessed to soft-swinging with other Mormons in Utah.)
As Taylor geared up for the season 22 premiere, which was slated for Sunday, March 22, news broke on March 16 that she and on-again, off-again boyfriend Dakota Mortensen were involved in an alleged domestic dispute.
A spokesperson for the Draper City Police Department in Utah confirmed to Us at the time that there is an open “domestic assault investigation” involving the pair, who share son Ever, 2. According to authorities, “allegations have been made in both directions” and “contact was made with involved parties on [February] 24th and 25th.”
Amid the scandal, a video from the exes’ 2023 domestic dispute that led to Taylor’s arrest resurfaced, showing Taylor throwing chairs at Dakota, 33. Bodycam footage from the incident.
Shortly after the 2023 video made headlines, ABC announced on Thursday, March 19, that season 22 of The Bachelorette was canceled. (Production on season 5 of SLOMW was previously paused amid the scandal.)
“ABC is livid over the situation,” a source exclusively told Us at the time. “Taylor had a breach of contract, and they are internally investigating.”
Taylor, for her part, thanked the network for its “support as she prioritizes her family’s safety and security.”
The drama, however, didn’t stop there as Dakota filed for a temporary restraining order against Taylor and requested temporary custody of their son. (Taylor also shares daughter Indy, 8, and son Ocean, 5, with ex-husband Tate Paul.)
Us confirmed on Friday, March 20, that Dakota was granted temporary custody of Ever and given a temporary protection order against Taylor.
NBC News reported on Wednesday that Utah’s West Jordan Police Department is looking into a third alleged domestic dispute involving stemming from 2024. (Us has reached out to the department for comment.)
“After years of silently suffering extensive mental and physical abuse as well as threats of retaliation, Taylor is finally gaining the strength to face her accuser and taking steps to ensure that she and her children are protected from any further harm,” a rep for Taylor told Us after The Bachelorette was canceled.
The statement continued, “There are too many women who are suffering in silence as they survive aggressive, jealous ex-partners who refuse to let them move on with their lives. Taylor has remained silent out of fear of further abuse, retaliation, and public shaming. She is currently exploring all of her options, seeking support, and preparing to own and share her story.”
Dakota issued his own statement, telling Us, “As anyone who has seen the video will understand, this is a deeply upsetting situation. I am, unfortunately, used to these baseless claims about me and our relationship, which I categorically deny. I am focusing on our son and his safety, and hope that Taylor will do the same.”
