If there’s one streamer you should subscribe to in April, it’s Hulu. The Disney-owned platform is adding so many high-quality films and shows this month that you won’t have time to watch anything else. At the top of Watch With Us‘ binge-watch list is Malcolm in the Middle: Life’s Still Unfair, which reunites most of […]

‘Hacks’ Season 5 — HBO Max

The award-winning comedy series returns for its fifth season, following the complicated mentorship between veteran standup comedian Deborah Vance (Jean Smart) and her 25-year-old comedy writer Ava Daniels (Hannah Einbinder). The premise begins with Deborah looking to reinvent her aging Las Vegas residency act and Ava struggling to find work in the industry due to her arrogant reputation. The two are paired up, and despite some initial bristling, they form an unlikely duo that is constantly changing and evolving as they navigate their personal and professional lives in the entertainment industry.

Hacks fans will be mourning their favorite show at the end of this new season, as season 5 has been confirmed to be the series’ last. The fourth season ended with a false report that Deborah had died after some hard partying in Singapore with Ava, and season 5 will kick off chronicling the aftermath of the dup addressing that rumor. The show is a winning blend of drama and comedy with irresistible chemistry between Smart and Einbinder, so the last season is certain to be as good as the previous ones.

‘Sirāt’ (2025) — Hulu

In the desolate Moroccan desert, a father, Luis (Sergi López), travels to an outdoor rave in search of his missing daughter, Mar, accompanied by his young son, Esteban (Bruno Núñez). As she was last seen at a desert dance festival, Luis desperately interviews festival-goers, asking if they have seen Mar. When he learns that another rave is taking place deeper in the desert, Luis and Esteban join a small group of ravers on the off chance that Mar could be there. With global conflict unfolding in the backdrop, the underprepared father and son struggle to navigate the unforgiving terrain.

Sirāt received Academy Award nominations for Best International Feature Film and Best Sound, and both nods were well deserved. The movie is a disturbing and unforgettable experience that uses sound design intimately in its dark exploration of human psychology and the collective vs. the individual. The film masterfully blends road movie with post-apocalyptic thriller and sustains a throbbing pulse of tension for the entire runtime.

‘Malcolm in the Middle: Life’s Still Unfair’ Season 1 — Hulu

After the more-dysfunctional-than-average exploits of one particular working-class American family ended with the series finale of Malcolm in the Middle back in 2006, we couldn’t be more excited for this special revival series that sees us checking back in with Malcolm (Frankie Muniz), Reese (Justin Berfield), Francis (Christopher Masterson), Dewey (Caleb Ellsworth-Clark), Lois (Jane Kaczmarek) and Hal (Bryan Cranston).

Malcolm in the Middle: Life’s Still Unfair takes place 20 years after the conclusion of the original series and sees Malcolm with a family of his own, now having distanced himself from his parents and siblings. But he finds himself forced to bring his girlfriend, Tristan (Kiana Madeira), and daughter Leah (Keeley Karsten) back into his family’s chaotic orbit when Hal and Lois insist that Malcolm be present for their 40th anniversary. The original was one of the best sitcoms of all time and groundbreaking for being one of the first single-camera comedy shows with no laugh track or live studio audiences. This sequel series promises an even more fun time seeing all of your favorite characters all grown up — and still as messy as ever.

‘The Boys’ Season 5 — Amazon Prime Video

It’s been a long time coming, but after two years, The Boys is finally returning with a fifth and final season to Prime Video. The satirical superhero series charts a universe in which superheroes (known as “Supes”) are monetized and marketed by a conglomerate called Vought International, but outside of their benevolent public identities, they are deeply flawed, corrupt and self-serving. The show focuses on two main groups: The Boys, which are a CIA-backed group looking to take down Vought, and The Seven, Vought’s team of Supes.

Season 4 left off on a dark note, in which the particularly dishonorable Vought superhero Homelander (Antony Starr) and his cabal of government cronies have taken over the United States and enacted martial law, while Homelander’s right-hand woman, Sister Sage (Susan Heyward), helped divide the country between those who swear allegiance to Homelander and those who do not. Homelander has deputized Supes and most of the Boys have been captured, while Butcher (Karl Urban) has escaped with his deadly new powers.

‘The Miniature Wife’ Season 1 — Peacock

This brand-new sci-fi rom-com series stars Matthew Macfadyen and Elizabeth Banks as a husband and wife whose relationship is drastically altered by a shocking experiment. Les Littlejohn (Macfadyen), a scientist who has created a miniaturization device, makes his wife, Lindy (Banks), a novelist struggling with creative block, feel insignificant by comparison. This emotional disparity comes into sharper relief when Les accidentally shrinks Lindy with his device, and she becomes a mere six inches tall.

Prime Video remains the best value among streaming services today. Where else can you stream the latest blockbuster movies, like Mission: Impossible — The Final Reckoning with Tom Cruise, as well as original films like Crime 101, starring Chris Hemsworth and Halle Berry? It’s not all movies, though. Prime Video has some pretty spectacular shows […]

The Miniature Wife follows this absurd premise as it explores love, marriage and gendered power imbalance. It’s a unique, funny angle, and we’re excited to see how it plays out across the show’s ten-episode run. The supporting cast includes Zoe Lister-Jones, O-T Fagbenle, Sian Clifford and Ronny Chieng, and it is executive produced by Greg Mottola, the director of movies like Superbad and Confess, Fletch.
