Prime Video is leaving Cousins Beach — and headed to Briar University with its next TV adaptation.
The streamer, the home of the recently wrapped The Summer I Turned Pretty, has also adapted Elle Kennedy’s bestselling Off Campus series.
“I still can’t believe it’s happening,” Kennedy gushed via Instagram in July 2025. “I’m so excited to see Briar University and the characters we love come to life.”
Kennedy’s New Adult book series follows a group of college hockey players at the fictional Briar University as they balance their NCAA dreams with finding love. The four books in the franchise each follow a different Briar athlete in a trope-laden romance.

What Is ‘Off Campus’ About?
Off Campus is adapted from Kennedy’s bestselling novels, which have been a favorite among #BookTok readers. The series chronicles the lives of four college hockey players at Briar University in Boston (Garrett, Logan, Dean and Tucker) and the women they fall in love with. The first book, The Deal, centers on Hannah, who agrees to tutor hockey captain Garrett in exchange for a fake relationship meant to help her get the attention of her actual crush.
There are four books in Kennedy’s series: The Deal, The Mistake, The Score and The Goal, as well as The Legacy epilogue that takes place years later. (Kennedy has also written two more series, Briar U and Campus Diaries, set in the same universe with different protagonists in future timelines.)
Who Is Starring in ‘Off Campus?’

The Prime Video series will star Ella Bright and Belmont Cameli as Hannah Wells and Garrett Graham, respectively. Their friend group will be rounded out by Antonio Cipriano (John Logan), Stephen Kalyn (Dean Di Laurentis), Jalen Thomas Brooks (John Tucker), Mika Abdalla (Allie Hayes), Josh Heuston (Justin) and Khobe Clarke (Beau Maxwell). Reba and Shameless alum Steve Howey, meanwhile, will play Garrett’s father.
Will the ‘Off Campus’ Show Feature the Characters’ Sex Lives Like the Books?

Kennedy’s books are known for their spicy scenes, which showrunner Louisa Levy confirmed will also be featured onscreen.
“There’s something really unique and special about college-age romances where it’s not really that first love kind of vibe, it is something potentially more, and you’re still discovering so much about yourself,” Levy told Prime Video’s Off Campus: What to Know About Elle Kennedy Series Entertainment Weekly in September 2025. “It’s more mature and sexier than high school. These characters are so sex-positive, especially in the first book, which is the tentpole of our first season.”
She added, “It’s this really deep romance that also has nuances of exploring who you are in the bedroom. There’s really lovely elements to who you want to be as a human that gets reflected in the steamy sex scenes that we have coming up this season.”

Who Do the ‘Off Campus’ Characters End Up With in the Books?
Season 1 of the Prime Video show will follow Hannah and Garrett’s story from The Deal, though it has not been confirmed if or when the other Briar hockey stars will take over the spotlight for potential future seasons. In the books, Logan finds love with Grace Ivers in The Mistake while Dean and Allie find a spark in The Score. Rounding out the series, Tucker and Sabrina James get together in The Goal.

Does ‘Off Campus’ Have a Premiere Date?
Off Campus will premiere on Prime Video May 13, 2026. The show had been in production since fall 2025 with the cast giving fans a glimpse of their behind-the-scenes antics via posts on the official @offcampusonprime Instagram and TikTok pages.
The 1st Trailer Teases Hannah and Garrett’s Romance
Garrett and Hannah were front and center in the first look at Off Campus, which dropped online in March 2026, including the moment she sees a naked Garrett showering in the locker room.
“At Briar U, the hottest action is off the ice,” a caption reads.
Will There Be More Seasons of ‘Off Campus’?
Off Campus, based on Elle Kennedy’s five-book series, has been renewed for a season 2 even before its 2026 series premiere. While season 1 will star Graham and Hannah, it’s not known which fellow hockey star will take the lead in the second season.
