In the NFL, the quarterback often has to carry the team on his back. Rarely does a fan have to carry the quarterback on hers.
That’s exactly what Natasha Lane did, however, when she ran into Jacksonville Jaguars quarterback Trevor Lawrence at a bar in Neptune Beach, Florida. As seen in a now viral video, Lane lifted Lawrence, 26, in the middle of the bar and did squats with him on her back.
“I was waiting for [a] friend and out walks Trevor Lawrence, and instead of asking for a picture, I asked to squat him instead,” she told News4Jax in a story published Monday, January 5. “His reaction was very shocked. He looked at me and asked if I was being serious, and I said, ‘I very much am.’”
In the clip, which she uploaded to her Instagram and TikTok accounts on Monday, Lane has Lawrence slung horizontally across her shoulders as she performs squats in the crowded bar. She doesn’t get quite low enough to satisfy the personal trainers out there, but Lawrence is listed at 6’6”, 220 pounds, and the weights at the gym are rarely QB-shaped.

“When you run into Trevor Lawrence the QB for the Jags at a bar & ask to squat him,” she wrote over the video, adding in the Instagram caption, “This is what dreams are made of.”
Lane, a Navy veteran, according to her Instagram bio, also posed for a photo with the fifth-year quarterback and was able to hang out with him and some teammates after the workout.

“After I put him down he stood there for a second and [said] ‘Whoa, you’re a very strong woman.’ I said, ‘Thanks, I work out,’” she added.
As the video has gone viral, while garnering comments from the NFL and other major brands, Lane is still coming to terms with her instant fame.

“I woke up this morning and next thing I know it’s everywhere and I’m still kind of shocked to be honest,” she said.
The comments, predictably, are a mix of hilarious reactions and terrified Jaguars fans.
“Friend what did I tell you about picking up strange men at the bars,” one follower wrote via Instagram.
“You know he might not remember everyone who’s ever asked him for an autograph, but he’s definitely gonna remember the person who asked to squat him,” another pointed out on TikTok.
“Don’t hurt em!” a concerned Jags fan added via TikTok.
When Lawrence isn’t being a human barbell, he is leading the Jaguars’ offense as they return to the NFL Playoffs for the first time since 2022. Jacksonville won a franchise record 13 games in 2025, en route to the AFC South championship and the 3 seed in the postseason.
“It’s just starting for us,” Lawrence said in an on-field interview after the Jaguars dismantled the Tennessee Titans, 41-7, on Sunday, January 4. “We know that there’s more football ahead for us. We gotta take it one week at a time, but we’re going to celebrate this one tonight.”
The Jaguars will host the Buffalo Bills in the Wild Card round on Sunday, January 11.
