Jana Kramer is ready to weigh in on the chatter surrounding Turning Point USA’s All-American Halftime Show.
“I, honestly, watched because we have a friend that was in it,” Kramer, 42, shared on the Monday, February 16, episode of iHeartRadio’s “Whine Down” podcast. “I loved that Kid Rock biblically spoke about Jesus, and I think that’s beautiful.”
While the 2026 Super Bowl halftime show had Grammy winner Bad Bunny, Turning Point USA brought Kid Rock, 55, Brantley Gilbert, Lee Brice and Gabby Barrett together for an alternative show.
“I love every artist that did it,” Kramer said before starting to chuckle and clarifying, “I don’t love all of them because I know one of the other ones that did it. I like all of them OK. I am a fan of all of their work. I just want to be very clear about that. I like all of them.”
Kramer is likely referring to Gilbert, 41, who she was briefly engaged to in 2013. The pair ultimately went their separate ways and married other partners.
“I’m really sorry for the person that I was and the way that I wasn’t healthy enough to be in that relationship,” Kramer previously shared in an April 2020 episode of her “Whine Down” podcast. “I wasn’t the best version of myself in that relationship. I just wasn’t. I always have a little bit of regret that I didn’t handle things better.”
Exes aside, Kramer sparked a conversation with cohosts Kathryn Vieira Woodard and Kristen Brust about the reality of having two halftime shows during this year’s Super Bowl.
At one point in the podcast, Kramer questioned why Turning Point USA named it the All-American Halftime Show.
“That’s the part — again, I could go down in a ball of flames for this one, probably — it’s to me, it felt more of a division trying to do that,” Kramer explained. “I could see it being perceived as wanting to divide instead of why not just have a show with awesome people?”
The One Tree Hill actress added, “Again, I love nothing more than a Christian message. I loved what Kid Rock did. I thought it was great. It just kind of made me go ‘Oh, we’re trying to bring people together, not bring us apart.’ I’m not saying they were trying to do that.”
Before the Seattle Seahawks beat the New England Patriots and became Super Bowl LX champions, Kramer said she was also able to watch Bad Bunny’s halftime show.
In her latest podcast episode, the “Why Ya Wanna” singer had nothing but positive reviews for the Grammy winner.
“I thought it was great,” Kramer said. “Every year, everybody always complains about the halftime performer. How can you please the entire United States of America with everybody’s taste? You can’t.”
Kramer continued, “Visually, I thought it was such a cool show. The camera angles, the choreography, him handing the Grammy to the sweet boy. And then I think it was just really well done and it was unity. There was no hate. I just thought it was beautiful.”
