Jesse Lee Soffer and Tracy Spiridakos Want a Tracker Cameo

Tracker is constantly undergoing casting changes — and bringing in epic guest stars — so would One Chicago’s Jesse Lee Soffer and Tracy Spiridakos be open for a cameo?

“Absolutely, yeah,” Spiridakos, 38, exclusively told Us Weekly on Tuesday, March 3, after being told she’s on Us’ dream “wishlist” of actors to costar with Tracker lead Justin Hartley.

Soffer, 41, was equally as excited about the idea, telling Us he’d “absolutely” sign up for a guest-starring role if asked.

“Justin’s a great guy, too. He’s a lovely dude,” Soffer gushed. “That would be a lot of fun, actually.”

With Tracker losing three main cast members before season 3, there is potential for new — and even some familiar faces — to join Justin Hartley‘s show. Tracker, which debuted in 2024, introduced Us to survivalist Colter Shaw (Hartley) as he travels the country to help find missing people, track down information on criminal cases […]

While the duo have yet to work out a deal to make an appearance on Tracker — either together or separately — they are no strangers to working in a high-intensity, jam-packed drama series.

As fans of Chicago P.D. know, Soffer starred as Detective Jay Halstead from the show’s premiere in 2014 to 2022. He went on to play FBI agent Wes Mitchell on FBI: International in 2024 before it was canceled the following year after four seasons.

Spiridakos, meanwhile, joined the cast of Chicago P.D. during season 4 in 2017 as Hailey Upton. She began as part of Halstead’s Intelligence Unit, run by Sergeant Hank Voight (Jason Beghe). Eventually, Upton and Halstead became more than partners, tying the knot during season 9.

When Soffer left the show during season 10, Halstead was still married to Upton. After ghosting her for some time, Upton filed for divorce — which Halstead was not present on camera for — prior to Spiridakos’ exit from the series in 2024.

Soffer and Spiridakos, who are dating in real life, reprised their Chicago P.D. roles during the three-part One Chicago crossover event on Wednesday, March 4.

At the end of the episode, they decided to go for drinks, hinting that their love story might not be over yet.

“I don’t know if it’s a new beginning, but I think it’s opened the door to have further conversations,” Spiridakos exclusively told Us earlier this month of Halstead and Upton’s reunion. “That the end moment between them is like, ‘OK, I will accept a conversation.’ And that’s about as far as she can go.”

The actress teased that she and Soffer are more than willing to return to Chicago P.D. for the right story line, with Soffer telling Us that it would be “pretty cool” to even do a spinoff about their characters.

In the meantime, hopefully they will cross over to Tracker, which is a show used to personnel changes.

The CBS series premiered in February 2024, following Hartley’s Colter Shaw, a survivalist who uses his instincts to track down missing people, solve cases and collect rewards.

The ensemble cast included handlers Teddi (Robin Weigert) and Velma (Abby McEnany), hacker Bobby (Eric Graise) and attorney Reenie (Fiona Rene). Jensen Ackles was later introduced as Colter’s brother, Russell Shaw.

Weigert, McEnany and Graise have since been written off the show. Executive producer Elwood Reid exclusively told Us in May 2025 that fans shouldn’t worry about the switches. (In Graise’s absence, Chris Lee was brought in to play new hacker, Randy.)

“I do think it’s evolving. If I can’t evolve those characters — Randy or Reenie or Bobby — they’re not just people that just pick up the phone and go, ‘OK, here is the answer.’ That’s when the show is phoning it in,” Reid explained. “The challenge is when you got to learn about them, which I thought was interesting. That’s the challenge of the show is not having it fall into a formula.”

That same month, Hartley’s former This Is Us costars teased that they might make cameos on Tracker in the future — adding to the hype around the show.

“Justin is always trying to get me to go to Vancouver,” Sterling K. Brown exclusively told Us in December 2025. “I’ll go in the summer — not during the winter [months].”

Mandy Moore added that she would “do anything” for Hartley, but revealed she had not been officially asked to come on the show.

Reid, meanwhile, told Us that the writers room discussed the possibility of bringing on This Is Us alums “all the time.”

“If I’m going to go with those kind of big names, I got to make sure I have a story,” he noted in December 2025. “The show works because we’re with Colter so much and he’s just such an interesting actor that he’s able to carry that big narrative load.”

Tracker airs on CBS Sundays at 9 p.m. ET.
