Kathryn Hurley is admitting she had seen Jason Tartick on The Bachelorette season 14 before the pair began dating.
“I did watch your season. I thought you were adorable. I was a big fan of you and Blake [Horstmann],” Hurley said on the Monday, March 30, episode of the “Trading Secrets” podcast. “Very sad when both of you were cut.”
Tartick interjected to add, “Wait, you want to know a funny story? When Blake met [Love Is Blind star] Giannina [Gibelli] on her show, on the MTV show [All Star Shore], she had known me from our season. She was like, ‘Oh you were on Jason’s season?’ You knew Blake first and you were like, ‘I’m on Blake’s season.’ There we go. A little switcheroo.”
Hurley recalled being “really sad” when former Bachelorette Becca Kufrin sent Tartick and Hostmann, 36, packing during her season, which aired in 2018.
“I thought you guys did a tremendous job under pressure. When the Bachelor or Bachelorette franchise I think was a little bit younger, a lot of people came out of that and acted a fool. I was always really impressed with the two of you,” she said.
Us exclusively confirmed that Hurley and Tartick were dating in November 2025 after they were spotted looking cozy at the opening of Craig’s in Nashville. One month later, Tartick addressed the pair’s relationship in honor of Hurley’s birthday.
“From the dogs you save every day to the people whose lives you change, you make everything around you more beautiful. Happy Birthday Kathryn!” he wrote via Instagram in December 2025.
Months later, Tartick reflected on his relationship with Hurley during a March 23 episode of his “Trading Secrets” podcast.
“Everything in my life is so clear,” Tartick said. “I look into 2026, what I see is I see light. I see bliss. I see happiness. I see someone that no matter what challenges come my way — economic challenges, financial challenges — I will find a way to do it.”
Tartick shared that Hurley is a part of the reason he gained confidence, adding, “As a team we’re just unstoppable. When I say unstoppable, I’m not talking about work. I’m not talking about financial success. I’m talking about happiness. We’re 10 toes down to the things that matter and talking through conflict and seeing the vision of what we want for life.”
Tartick went on to speculate that he will be in “a better place” one year from now.
“I will be in a better place to what I want to be in life, which is to be married and have a family and have kids and do something bigger than social media and work,” he said about his plans for the future. “That’s what I’m expecting for next year.”
